Rowan’s Law has come into effect. At the Norwood Curling Club, we take concussions seriously. It is a rare event but we would like to draw attention to what this law entails.

In the case of concussions in order to continue curling, you must have a Rowan’s Law Acknowledgement Form filled out and submitted to the Executive.

Participants voluntarily assume the physical and legal risks associated with the sport of curling by signing a written waiver for those over the age of majority or, an Informed Consent Agreement, for those under the age of majority.
a) Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims & Indemnity Agreement - is a waiver about the physical and legal risk related to the sport of curling and the activities of the club, and is to be signed by all members and participants over the age of majority.
b) Informed Consent & Assumption of Risk Agreement, is for all members and participants under the age of majority. This document is intended to inform the member or participant of the potential physical risks related to the sport of curling and the activities of the club.
